The charter refers to a dispute between Laurence son of Orm (of Abernethy), who was lord of Inverarity, and Alwin son of Duncan of Foffarty. Waltheof son of Merleswain, Duncan son of Adam (of Kilconquhar) and Thomas of Lundin, all south Fife figures, witness various other documents in the first quarter of the thirteenth century.
