Watt, Graduates, 271: William (surname also Horsbrok, Horsbroch) probably took his name from Horsburgh (PEB), and would have been related to Michael de Horsbrok (fl. 1305) and Simon de Horsbrok (d.a. 1303). William occurs as clerk of the dean and chapter of Glasgow at Berwick on 20 January 1284, and again as a master and public notary at Edinburgh on 4 December 1287.
