Andrew of Gartly, master

Biography
Watt, Graduates, 214-15: Andrew took his name from the parish of Gartly (ABD) in the Moray diocese. As a clerk, he witnessed with other clergy of Moray in a papal-judges' sentence dating circa 1258 and then moved into royal service, where he appears as both Master and king's clerk in the early 1270s, at which point he was presented with the church of Fordyce (BNF) during a vacancy.
