David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful Alexander Stewart knight, son of the late Alexander Stewart knight, for his homage and service, on whom he has girded the sword of knighthood, the grain ferme owed the king from the barony of Cambusnethan (LAN) together with the tenancies or services of freeholders of the said barony, which the late Robert Baird knight had by infeftment from his lord father [King Robert I]; in feu and heritage, for a pair of gilded spurs at Cambusnethan if demanded.
