Description
David, king of Scots, to his sheriff and baillies of Kincardine: The abbot and convent of Arbroath have shown him that they vexed them by taking suits from their lands of Scotston, Culback (Newlands, KCD), and Auchenblae (KCD) and oppressing the inhabitants through burdens against the privileges granted them by his predecessors the kings of Scotland. The king commands them to cease taking suits and imposing burdens.
