David, king of Scots, has approved and ratified that donation which Margaret of Monfode in her widowhood made to a chaplain celebrating the divine service perpetually in the church of Dalmeny, of an annual rent of nine marks owed him from the lands of Hop-Kailzie (PEB) by James of Tweedie, as well as two marks annually from her lands of Skirling (PEB); holding in pure and perpetual alms, as contained in Margaret's charter, saving the king's service.
