Duncan, earl of Mar, has given, granted, and by this his present charter established, to the church St Mary and St Machar of Aberdeen and the canons serving God there (Aberdeen Cathedral), for the support of a chaplain to celebrate perpetually for the souls of the earl, his ancestors, his spouse, and his heirs in the said church of St Mary, where he has vowed and bequeathed his body to be interred between the bishops, the church of Logie Ruthven in Mar (ABD) in pure and perpetual alms with one acre of land next to the church with all its just pertinents.
