Alan Carpenter and Annabel, his spouse, by the agreement and wish of Geoffrey and William, their sons and heirs, have given, granted, and made firm by this their present charter, to the almshouse of Coldingham Priory, one toft with a croft in the villa of Coldingham lying along the wall of the monastery of Coldingham, in return for a certain sum of money, rendering thereupon annually to the prior and convent of Coldingham 9d. of silver, half at the Nativity of St John Baptist and half at the feast of St Martin.
