Note that ‘Arosine’ of Lindsey is an error; rather it should read Drogo. See Barrow, Kingdom of the Scots, 2nd edn, 286. Drogo appears in English records of the time. The Fachope which flows into the Leader Water is now known as Packman’s Burn. Cf. RRS, ii, no. 175. This is in Melrose parish (ROX) close to Earlston.
