Alan de Percy, for the welfare of his soul and that of his lord, King David, and his son, Earl Henry, and their heirs, and for the soul of Alan de Percy, his father, and of others, has given to Whitby Abbey two ploughgates of land, one in Oxnam (ROX) and another in Heiton (ROX), with common easements of both villas, in perpetual alms, free and quit from all service and secular custom.
