Patrick of Dunbar, earl of March, wishes and grants by the present [charter] that the abbot of the monastery of Kelso, and the convent of the same place, may be able to lawfully enter their land of Bothwell (ELO), which is within his district, with all their pertinents, and to peacefully possess it. Henceforth, he also states they may be able to make use of all their utilities, without his annoyance and claim, or that of his bailies.
