- King [Edward] states that he gave respite to Robert de Brus, earl of Carrick, concerning all of the debts in which he was being held accountable to the exchequer all the way until the feast of St Michael nearest in the future, and from the same feast all the way until one year nearest following is completed. And additionally, the king commands the treasurer and the barons to provide respite to Robert in the meantime.
