Description
Robert, king of Scots, based on the inquest made by his sheriff of Fife that was returned to him, he has found that the pond for a certain mill made by John del Glen his faithful sergeand/ servant at his land of Balmuto (FIF) would not injure him nor his men of Balbaidie (FIF) through part of which place the mill-lade runs, beyond the amount of 12d. annually; he has granted the aforesaid pond to John hereditarily, rendering to the king and his heirs or to his men of Balbaidie, 12d. for all service.
